Web 2 Voice: A quick note on Personal Branding

  • lesseffective · 1 year ago
    Just FYI

    I just built a site called 'TheBestHumanEver.com'

It's a quick way to SEO your name (provided you're not "john smith" or "bono") and have a custom profile page with an 'about' section that you fill out. Kind of a quick self-PR campaign without the hassle of setting up your own site. Plus, the content on the site boosts your visibility faster than starting a page from scratch. Hope you like it.

Definitely an interesting concept in SEO\Personal Branding. I'll check it out.

So true...I wonder how many people are googling other prospects etc? The figure is very high for recruitment consultants and employers, but everytime I speak with small business onwers about googling someone, they admit they have never tried it? Great advice here though, and it is something I do myself...

I think non-techie and small business people generally do NOT search before a meeting unless they do a quick LinkedIn lookup.

I do find all kinds of interesting information about people though - things to bring up in conversation.
